Social Security Building

BHATE provided geotechnical, environmental, CMT/SI services for this design/build 660,000-sf office building with adjacent 1,765-space parking deck. This site consisted of an old tank farm operated in the early 1920’s by Gulf Oil. The site is underlain by a limestone formation with foundations supported on drilled piers supported on bedrock with allowable bearing capacities of 200 KSF. Detailed documentation was prepared by BHATE personnel to meet the GSA requirements.
