BHATE has a company policy and procedure for professional employees of BHATE in obtaining, managing, and executing studies and projects that require evaluation, interpretation, or engineering judgment. The quality requirements are outlined in our internal Quality Assurance Manual.

The Quality Assurance Program implemented by BHATE conforms to the applicable requirements of government and commercial quality-related documents, including the following:

• 10CFR50, Appendix B (Criteria for Quality Assurance)
• ASTM E 548 (Criteria for Testing/Inspection Agencies)
• ASTM E 329 (Inspection and Testing for Concrete/Steel/Bituminous Materials)

The term "quality assurance" has been defined as all those planned and systematic actions necessary to provide adequate confidence that services are satisfactorily performed. Quality assurance is recognized as an interdisciplinary function and not the sole responsibility of a quality assurance organization.
